BARB POLK is a full-time commercial and character voice artist. Barb’s voice, singing and on-camera talents were utilized in the Palo Alto Humane Society’s “It’s a Dog’s Day” video which won a Telly Award. Barb also created voices for the Discovery Channel’s nationally distributed CD-Rom for children, “Big Job” and “Chatterbuddies”, winner of the Omni Award for Children’s Interactive Programming. Barb has been a freelance writer/producer and voice talent since 1978 voicing literally thousands of radio and TV spots during her career. She has written and performed jingles for La-Z-Boy and KFC and has won over 100 local and regional ads including the coveted CLIO for TV. And for over 25 years Barb has been a vocalist in a smooth jazz and pop-rock duo and performs with a 17 piece big band.
